When you purchase a giclée print from Debra Blake Arts, you can trust that you will be receiving a beautiful piece created with love and passion and printed to withstand the test of time. Standard-size prints (unless noted) are available (Art Shop,) and I am always happy to work with you to create custom-size prints as well.
If you are interested in purchasing an original piece, please contact me directly.
A bit about giclée. Giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) literally means "spatter or "squirt" in French. Essentially, a giclée print is a reproduction made with a high-quality ink-jet printer, in this case on an acid-free surface, using lightfast inks. My prints are created with a large-format Epson printer and Epson pigmented inks; these have been documented to show no visible signs of fading even after 100 years; that's what they tell me anyway. In other words, you are purchasing a quality piece of art.
You can also purchase many pieces of art printed on tile, either ceramic or tumbled marble. Tiles can be displayed like any photo: in a frame, on a stand or on a table. Keep them clean with non-abrasive cleanser and a soft cloth. The image is permanent, but the tile can be scratched by sharp objects. They will last indefinitely indoors, but may slowly fade under direct sunlight.
You can also install the tiles like any other ceramic tile; information about how to do this comes with each shipment. I am available for commissions for this purpose.
Prints ship within a few days; tiles take about a week to arrive. If you need something immediately, let me know and I will do the best I can to make that happen.
I've wanted to be an artist for most of my life, even when I didn't quite know it. But I did it. I followed my dreams -- or they grabbed me; I kept working at this. I went for beauty. Because it matters.
